Welcome to the CT Coalition for Oral Health
A Healthy Body Starts with a Healthy Mouth
Who We Are
The Connecticut Coalition for Oral Health (CTCOH) is a diverse group of public and private
organizations that work cooperatively to promote oral health in Connecticut. We believe that oral health is important and should be considered as integral to overall health by educators and school systems, health professionals and systems, government agencies and policy makers.
If you have a personal, professional, or general interest in oral health, please browse the resources on
this site for useful information, sign up for our e-news to keep up-to-date on oral health issues, and read on to learn more about our Coalition and becoming a member.
We welcome your interest! CTCOH invites all Connecticut residents to share our message on the importance of good oral health.
Resources on This Site
There are resource sections here for general consumers such as patients, parents and others who care for children, people with special needs and older adults; for educators to integrate teaching about oral health into their work with students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12; for health and dental professionals; and for anyone who wants to advocate for oral health.
The Connecticut Coalition for Oral Health acts to implement the objectives and strategies of the State Oral Health Improvement Plan. The intent of the Plan is to set priorities, organize efforts, and guide resource allocations for the public and private sectors to improve the oral health of Connecticut's children and adults with special emphasis on vulnerable populations. The Coalition consists of a core leadership team and general members - state, local, and community agencies, organizations, associations, educators, health professionals, advocates, and consumers. It’s all about working collaboratively for a Healthy Connecticut.
How We Work
The CTCOH Leadership Team is responsible for setting the overall policy and direction of the Coalition. It is made up of voting members who serve two-year terms including two co-chairs and two co-vice chairs. The Team meets quarterly and delegates responsibility of day-to-day operations to the Executive Committee and Work Groups.
